MEET THE DESIGNER

"It's never too late". This saying perfectly embodies the journey of Giulia Barela, who reinvented herself by letting her passions shape a new life.

After studying law and working in international relations, Giulia Barela decided to pursue her long-held dream of becoming a jewelry designer.

In 2012, the Giulia Barela brand was born. In her atelier, located just a stone's throw from the famous Navona Square in the heart of Rome, the designer started molding and casting her creativity into exquisite jewelry.

Through the years, Giulia Barela has gained recognition from custumers, industry experts and the press, in Italy and worldwide.

The brand’s consistent growth in the high-end jewelry market is showcased by its presence in 20 of the most prestigious concept stores and boutiques in Italy and abroad.

With the Metafore Project she was included in the ADI Design Index, representing the selection of the best italian design.

SCULPTURE

Giulia Barela’s creations are wearable sculptures, the result of meticulous research and refinement, yet contemporary in style.

Each piece starts with a thought that comes to life under the designer's skilled hands and transforms into a multi-dimensional jewelry creation.

This artisanal craftsmanship defines Giulia Barela's unique style. "I prefer to use my hands because I embrace occasional irregularities; each imprefection brings me closer to the final desing" she affirms.

Her jewelry is molded to follow the body's natural curves, ensuring comfort and wearability. Anatomical studies have been crucial in achieving the desired lightness and fit.

For Giulia Barela, sculpture is the ultimate expression of artistic research and creative thought, eventually taking form in a distinctive design.

MADE IN ROME

Rome, with its rich mosaic of history and innovation, traditions, and timeless beauty, provides the perfect backdrop for artistic creation.

Giulia Barela's design embodies the beauty, millennial history, and unique forms of the eternal city, which serves as a profound source of inspiration for the designer’s collections.
